'Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the word of knowledge' (Proverbs 23:12).

God has placed His laws in our hearts that we may know Him, the only true God. He has instructed us through His Word, which is a light unto our path and a lamp to our feet. He instructs us of things pertaining to His Son, Jesus Christ and His salvation, in which He has freely given to us. We must seek to apply our hearts unto His instruction persistently and earnestly. We should allow the Holy Spirit to graciously open our hearts and enlighten us, as we fix our ears attentively to listen and treasure those instructions, that may in the future influence our life. The Passage of Scripture, is suggesting that we not only should learn what God has instructed us to do but to apply our heart to those instructions. In so doing we will have a knowledge of God. This knowledge we have of God is infinitely valuable. Why?  "This is life eternal, to know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent"
(John 17:3). God is always ready to communicate with us and if we truly understand this, we will give Him our full attention and listen wholeheartedly to what He wants us to do. We must seek to have the right attitude in listening to God, and  we will be bless for doing so. We should be eager to hear, anxious to know more about God and His Word,  hungered for His truth and be illuminated by His light. God seeks to communicate to us through His Word, through Bible study, through prayer, through others who are spiritually mature. It is our responsibility to listen and apply His Word and instructions to our heart. Today, seek to incline your ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding (Proverbs 2:2).

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah' (Exodus 15:23). The Isralites were on a high after the Red Sea experience and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt and Pharaoh's army. The Lord led them this way become He wanted them to realise that He was their God, their Deliverer, and their Protector. The people  murmured against Moses and God, but the Lord showed them that He was still willing to guide and protect them and be their Healer, if they would look to Him. When they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters because they were bitter, so they murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink" (verse 24)? Sometimes  things happened to us in life, and we become very bitter and callous. It may be family issues; a friendship gone sour; conflicts; marriage broken down; sickness or even the death of a love one. But we need to guard against bitterness cree...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
