'For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise' (Hebrews 10:36)

Christ the perfect sacrifice for the restoration of mankind from their sins, endured the sufferings, pain and shame of the Cross; became a better sacrifice than that of animal sacrifices in the old covenant. Therefore, knowing this, should give all who accepted Him as their Lord and Saviour, greater confidence in their faith. It should strengthen and give us encouragement and boldness, when we face persecution, afflictions and evil surmising. We should have the assurance of what God offers us, and allow the Holy Spirit to work upon our hearts and help us to refrain from sinning. We ought to obey God and with humility have a willingness to do His will and to keep our Spirit calm and submissive. Then we will be able to obtain the blessings God intended for us. But if we choose to act in defiance of the will of God, we will have dire spiritual consequences as a result. God is the God of all grace and patience and as His Children, born of the Spirit and call by His grace, are expected to conform to the image of Christ; to have His mind and to be like Him. We ought therefore to produce the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. We are to look upon Christ as the invisible form of the patience of God, the lamb of God who bore all without a murmur or complaint. We must choose to conform to  Christ by the renewing of our minds and exercise His patience; where upon we are called to sufferings and trials which will require patience. Having kept the faith and patiently suffers for it, will then enable us through Christ to receive the promise of eternal life. Let us seek to lie in the hands of God, and submit to His will day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment, to enable us to patiently endure the trials, sufferings, afflictions and persecutions that will come our way.  Let us learn to be patient with ourselves and with others and  also be encouraged of the prospect of the promised inheritance of eternal life with Christ.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
