'The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?' (Psalm 118:6)

Sin is evil, it is wicked and vicious and is of Satan. It causes chaos, destruction, great calamities, violence, sickness, death; but most  of all separation from our Creator. Sin came with a high price tag, the Son of God. He was the only one who could deal with the problem of sin. He was condemned for our sin, even though he bore no sin. He was afflicted and experienced a cruel death on the Cross, that he didn't deserve, so we could have the life he deserved. The stake was high and the cost of sin great, but our Saviour did it for every one of us, to restore and reconciled us back to the Father.  In our own lives we experience the effects of sin daily.  The hearts of men are cold, hard, vile and evil; the saints of God being persecuted for their faith; turmoil in the world; death and sickness and the various natural disasters. As believers we ought to lift our hearts to God and give him praise and be thankful that his presence is with us and He is still in control amidst the turmoil. We have been troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed; but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down but not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8). Why? The  Lord is on our side, therefore, we shall not fear. God is Almighty, All-Powerful, All-knowing, who can stand against him? We are like grass that withered away, but He is eternal. Who can withstand? He is the One who can destroy both the body and the soul, so why fear man when they can only destroy your body? They cannot touch your soul. Just as the Lord was on the side of David and Christ bringing them victory, even through hard pressed and  difficult moments. He will likewise do the same for us, who believe and trust in Him. He will fight our battles, support us in our afflictions, deliver us from evil and supply our needs. We have so much to thank God for and to trust Him at all times, dispelling all our fears. As we exercise faith in Christ's ability to save us by His grace, we will have no reason to fear what man will do unto us. Let us ask God to give us a measure of faith, even as small as a mustard seed that will help us to stand in times of adversity. Let us trust the Lord and his power to save us to the utmost.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live;' (John 11:25). The story of Lazarus is a well known one in the Bible. He and his sisters Martha and Mary were friends of Jesus, who loved them. Lazarus became sick and died, and after four days Jesus raised him from the dead. This was more for benefits of those around including His disciples, so that they may truly believe that God had sent him.  He was speaking  with Martha who was more focused on the telling Jesus the problem, than demanding a specific solution. We too can be so focus on the problems we faced, that we forget that God is  much bigger that the problem and is our solution to them. When Jesus told her Lazarus would rise again, she understood it to mean he would live again someday. But Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live." Christ at this time, was able...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
