'He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not' (John 1:10).

Jesus Christ the eternal and true Light of the world was also the Creator. God himself, came down to earth as Jesus in the physical form to save humankind from sin and death. John the Baptist, Christ's forerunner brought knowledge of the True Light to a world in darkness. He preached the message of  repentance to all, that if  they believed in Jesus as the Messiah and the Light of the world, who as come to save them from their sins, they would have eternal life. But sorry to say, the people who was suppose to be the light to the heathen nations around didn't recognised Jesus as the Messiah and chose to reject the knowledge brought by the One who was the eternal Light. The Jews saw all that Christ did and heard all that he said. They witnessed His many miracles and human testimonies but yet most of them did not believe the truth about Him. Some rejected Him out of pride and arrogance. They were looking for a worldly king, as portrayed on earth, to save them from the Roman supremacy, not some one poor and associated with all kinds of people. Christ came to bring Light to a darkened world, to save us from the bondage of sin and set us free. All who believe in Him by faith through grace will not perish, but have eternity life with him. We have the Scriptures which testifies of Jesus Christ, all the miracles done and all the testimonies given, to choose rightly, and accept Jesus as the incarnate Son of God. Those who are unbelieving need to know Jesus as their Saviour, by trusting in his sacrificial death, as the only Substitute for their sin. Those of us that are believers, need to know Him personally and intimately and through the power of the Holy Spirit, seek to draw closer  and develop a heart-desire to know Him more as our eternal Light and soon coming King. Let us choose wisely!

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live;' (John 11:25). The story of Lazarus is a well known one in the Bible. He and his sisters Martha and Mary were friends of Jesus, who loved them. Lazarus became sick and died, and after four days Jesus raised him from the dead. This was more for benefits of those around including His disciples, so that they may truly believe that God had sent him.  He was speaking  with Martha who was more focused on the telling Jesus the problem, than demanding a specific solution. We too can be so focus on the problems we faced, that we forget that God is  much bigger that the problem and is our solution to them. When Jesus told her Lazarus would rise again, she understood it to mean he would live again someday. But Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live." Christ at this time, was able...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
