'Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins'
(Proverbs 10:12).

We are all sinners in need of grace. It is through the grace of God that we can be saved, by faith in Christ our Saviour. When we have the love of God within us, we are able to forgive others, acknowledging that those who offended or wronged us are fallen and in need of grace as we do. A person whose heart is full of hatred and malice against another, will stir up or awake contention and strife. But love will cover all sin, by the pardoning love and grace of God, through the blood and righteousness of Christ. Love is of God and covers a multitude of sins. Love is patient and kind; it does not envy or boast or is it proud. It is not rude or self-seeking; or easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth (see 1
Corinthians 13). Our most natural instinct when someone hurt or wronged us is to retaliate and hurt them as they have hurt us, but it never comes to a good end, but multiplies our anger even more to the point of retaliation. But if we take time out to reflect on how Jesus would deal with the situation we would choose to respond in love, resulting in a more effective and powerful outcome. We need to understand, that in our own strength we are hopeless, but in Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit we can do all things. It is important to note, that love does not overlook or ignore any sin, but it seeks to find a way to work  together for a better result. Hatred is of the Devil and seeks to divide, destroy, and disrupt relationships and fellowship with God and each other. Satan, that old serpent, the devil loves discord, strife and disunity; but God is love. He wants to give us his peace and to unify us with his love. He wants us love one another as He loved us. When we love another, we will seek  to forgive them of their wrong doings, even when they have wronged us, because Christ is helping us to do so. By loving others as Christ loves us will prove we are his disciples (see John13:34-35). Let us strive to have the love of God, that will help us to dispel hatred and strife among ourselves, so we will be fitted for the kingdom of heaven.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹EC

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
